The APASSCRACKER project has updated password crackers for Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Atomic Excel Password Recovery 2107 and Atomic Word Password Recovery 2017 restore passwords to open Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word files using
one of the three methods:
Search for an encryption key to decrypt a file without a password
Direct trying all probable variants – also called a brute force attack
Search for a password in dictionaries aka dictionary attack
